Developed by the United Nations, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.
The goals are all interconnected. They recognise that ending poverty and other injustices must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while taking climate action and working to preserve the health of our oceans and forests.
We are all in this together. At its heart, the SDGs are an urgent call to action by all countries – both developed and developing – to bring peace and prosperity to people and the planet, now and into the future.
In order to leave no one behind, it’s important that we achieve them all by 2030.
Neighbourhood Houses and Community Centres across Australia work towards these goals every day. At Morwell Neighbourhood House, we’re working towards the following Sustainable Development Goals:
