Grow Hub

Launching in 2026, the GROW Hub is a vibrant new initiative at Morwell Neighbourhood House that brings people and food together. By rescuing surplus local produce and turning it into healthy meals and shared experiences, the GROW Hub creates a space for learning, connection, and cultural exchange, all while reducing waste and supporting a stronger, more resilient community.

What is the grow hub?

The GROW Hub is a vibrant, community-driven space where good food and great connections come together. Built around a circular food system, the GROW Hub rescues surplus local produce and transforms it into nourishing meals, preserves, and shared resources for the community. It’s more than just reducing food waste, it’s about empowering people with hands-on skills in cooking, preserving, and sustainable living. Through shared learning, cultural exchange, and a strong focus on inclusion, the GROW Hub creates opportunities for people to connect, contribute, and be part of something meaningful while building a more resilient and food-secure community.

Volunteer

Volunteers play a vital role in the success of the GROW Hub. Opportunities include harvesting local produce, food preparation and preserving, assisting with workshops and events, and helping coordinate activities. Whether you bring gardening skills, kitchen experience, organisational support or simply a willingness to help, volunteering with the GROW Hub is a rewarding way to contribute to community wellbeing and sustainability.
